Your life, your world, your hearing

We understand that the investment in the solution to a hearing loss is a considered one. This is especially so for those embarking on the journey to better hearing for the first time.

It's an unknown world which you will be approaching with a good deal of emotion; the hope of finding a solution mixed with the fear of not doing so, or worse still finding the wrong solution. That is why on average it takes seven years from the realisation of hearing loss until action to correct it is taken.

At Hear ClearNIwe feel we offer the best patient journey for you or your loved one. All your appointments with us will be part of your over all ear health package so should you require any assistance at any time all you need to do is call and make an appointment and you will be seen at a time that is convenient to you.

You will not be charged for your aftercare so we urge you to reach out to us should you need our help.

At Hear ClearNI we offer a no obligation hearing assessment, as part of the assessment we will give you diagnostic hearing aids for you to wear for 2 weeks, in this time the aids will help improve your hearing but will also record the different listening environments you are in.

The real world assessment allows us to gather more information to help prescribe the right hearing aids for you and gives you the opportunity to hear better without the financial commitment.

After you have completed the 2 week assessment we will sit down and go through the results with you, at this point we will discuss the types of hearing aids that would best suit your hearing needs.

Our comprehensive assessment will assess both, the type of hearing loss you may have and the degree of hearing loss. The type of hearing loss can be either conductive or sensorineural.

Conductive hearing loss is often associated with the outer and middle ear and can be related to wax accumulation, perforation of the eardrum or infection. Sensorineural hearing loss is associated with the inner ear and presents with difficulties hearing sound at a specific frequency. You may be able to hear low-frequency sounds such as the rumble of thunder but find it difficult to make out high frequency sounds such as children’s voices.

Our trained audiologists will pinpoint the type of hearing loss you are experiencing and recommend solutions that can manage the difficulties you are experiencing.

How do I know if I need a hearing test?

The degree of hearing loss is related to the degree of difficulty you may have hearing sounds. Normal hearing is associated with hearing a range of audible volumes (high to low ‘loudness’) over a range of frequencies (high to low ‘pitches’). If you are experiencing hearing difficulties it may be challenging to hear low audible volumes, such as a quiet conversation, or at high pitches or frequencies, such as a child’s voice. Normal hearing is defined as being able to comfortably hear low audible volumes over a range of frequencies or pitches (high to low).

Irrespective of the cause, if you are experiencing difficulty hearing such as struggling to hear quiet conversations, always turning the TV up, or asking people to repeat themselves, contact our expert team now and take the first step to resolving you hearing difficulties.

Aftercare is important and at Hear Clear NI we offer a range of treatments that you can access immediately which may resolve your hearing difficulties. Our trained audiologists are specialists in microsuction. Our microsuction technology is an effective safe alternative to syringing. Syringing is associated with mess, discomfort and potential infection. Microsuction requires no pre-appointment preparation, is safe, reliable and can be delivered in a single visit.
